Getting started with Lean Ledger is straightforward. Here's what to expect.
Get in touch and I'll arrange a discovery call, usually within 48 hours. This is a chance for me to understand your business, what you need, and whether we're a good fit for each other. No obligation, no hard sell.
After our call, I'll send you a clear proposal outlining the services, pricing, and what's included. Everything is transparent, no hidden fees or surprises. If you're happy, you'll sign an engagement letter digitally and we're off.
If you're switching accountants, I'll contact your previous accountant to request your records. You don't need to do anything here; I handle the professional clearance process for you.
I'll ask you to complete a short online form with your business details and upload a few documents, such as ID, proof of address, and any recent accounts or tax returns. This covers the legal compliance checks every UK accountant is required to carry out.
I'll set up your accounts in my systems, register as your agent with HMRC, and make sure all the deadlines and reminders are in place. If you use cloud accounting software, I'll get connected to that too.
You'll receive a welcome email with everything you need: key dates, how to get in touch, and what to expect going forward. We'll have a quick kickoff call to make sure everything is working and agree on the first piece of work.
From first contact to fully onboarded, the whole process typically takes two to four weeks.
