The Founder
Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA), founder of Lean Ledger, and builder of practical finance systems.
Finance, systems and useful advice belong together.
I'm a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) with senior practice experience, and I code. That combination is rarer than it should be, and it's the foundation of how Lean Ledger works.
My career has been shaped by a simple observation: most accountancy firms treat technology as something bolted on at the end, a cost to minimise rather than a capability to build around. I've watched talented accountants spend their days on work that software could do faster, more accurately, and without the 11pm rekeying sessions. So I learned to write the software myself.
I started with Python in 2018 and kept going. Today, I build integrations, reporting tools, and internal systems alongside accounting work, because the two aren't separate skills anymore. They're the same job done properly.
When I am not building systems or balancing books.
Away from the desk, I read widely, mainly on topics like the economy, systems thinking, AI, and anything that helps me understand how the world works. On weekends, I enjoy long walks and rucks around London or further afield, usually with a planned route and a flask of coffee. Motorcycles have always been a passion for me; the focus they require helps clear my mind. Recently, I started woodworking, which is similar to writing software: measure carefully, understand the material, respect the limits, and see if the result fits.
Let us see if we are a good fit.
No hard sell, no obligation. Just an honest conversation about your business and whether Lean Ledger is the right partner for you.
