The Founder
Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA), founder of Lean Ledger, and builder of practical finance systems.
Finance, systems and useful advice belong together.
I’m a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) with senior practice experience, and I also code. This mix is less common than you’d think, and it’s the foundation of Lean Ledger.
I’ve never liked the idea that technology is just something you tack on at the end. Too often, firms see it as a cost to cut, not as a tool that can change how the work gets done.
I’ve watched good accountants spend too much time on manual tasks, duplicate data, clunky spreadsheets, and late-night data entry. Software can handle much of this faster and more accurately, so I learned to build it myself.
I started learning Python in 2018. Now, I build integrations, reporting tools, and internal systems as part of my accounting work. For me, these aren’t separate skills, they’re part of doing the job right.
When I am not building systems or balancing books.
When I’m not working, I read a lot, mainly about the economy, systems thinking, AI, and how institutions and incentives shape decisions. On weekends, I enjoy long walks and rucks in London or beyond, usually with a planned route and a flask of coffee.
I’ve always loved motorcycles; the focus they require helps clear my mind. Lately, I’ve taken up woodworking, which is more like software than I expected: measure carefully, know your materials, respect the limits, and see if the result works.
Let us see if we are a good fit.
No hard sell, no obligation. Just an honest conversation about your business and whether Lean Ledger is the right partner for you.
